It is now a leading Highland destination hotel, perfect for romantic breaks, weddings and a cosy, luxurious base from which to explore the stunning surrounds. Packed with period and traditional Scottish features, there’s also an emphasis on contemporary design, with neutral colour schemes and clean lines. Stay in one of the immaculate 28 bedrooms: a grand master, master, deluxe, loft or garden room. Dining is a highlight at The Lovat. Eat in The Brasserie, a shabby chic dining room serving artistically-prepared and -presented dishes from Head Chef Sean Kelly. Ingredients are high-quality, locally-sourced and even foraged by Kelly himself. The onsite Waypoint Bar and Lounge serves afternoon teas, coffees and alcoholic beverages.

We could not fault this fantastic hotel. It is pure Scotland magic. The staff are second to none. We did the 9 course tasting menu and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We felt so looked after and wished we could have stayed for longer. Delicious canapes and dinner, cocktails and breakfast.

What an impressive and lovely hotel! I can’t wait to come back. Very organized, beautiful, interesting, friendly. The staff are a joy. The rooms are attractive and unique. The common rooms are very welcoming. Breakfast is great. It’s in an excellent location for exploring the Highlands. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in the main part of the hotel, lovely room, clean and warm, quiet with a nice view. The bed and linen were particularly good. The staff were attentive and friendly, but went about their duties quietly, just how I like it. Five stars definitely have to go to the quality of the food, snack lunch, full on dinner, even the late evening cheese board we had, were exceptional. As a point of note, the evening dinner menu is available at lunch time along with the snack type soup/sandwich, so visiting for lunch is an excellent option. When they restart their tasting menu, hopefully in the spring, we will surely go back.
